மு.வ : பகைவரை எதிர்த்து நிற்க்கும் வீரத்தை மிக்க ஆண்மை என்று கூறுவர், ஒரு துன்பம் வந்த போது பகைவர்க்கும் உதவிச் செய்தலை அந்த ஆண்மையின் கூர்மை என்று கூறுவர்.

சாலமன் பாப்பையா : பகைவர் மீது இரக்கம் காட்டாமல் இருப்பதை மிகுந்த ஆண்மை என்பர்; ஆனால், அந்தப் பகைவர்க்கு ஒரு தாழ்வு வரும்போது அவர் மீது இரக்கம் கொண்டு, அவர் தாழ்ச்சியைப் போக்க உதவுவது ஆளுமையை மேலும் சிறப்பிக்கும்.
