காமத்துக் காழில் கனி.
Modern interpretation
Those who love each other in return receive love's sweetest fruit, free of the bitterness of one-sided longing. A relationship feels most fulfilling when the person you choose chooses you too.

வீழ்வார் அளிக்கும் அளி.
Modern interpretation
The beloved's timely affection is like rain to people whose lives depend on it. A caring message or visit at the right moment can give a strained relationship the strength to continue.

Love hurts when it rests on one side alone, like a kavadi carried with weight at only one end; it is joyful when both sides carry it. A relationship works best when both people make an effort.

O my heart, if you are going to tell your deep pain to someone who does not care, you might as well try to fill the sea. When a person has stopped listening, seeking comfort from them can feel harder than an impossible task.
