கள்ளுக்கில் காமத்திற் குண்டு.
Modern interpretation
Love brings joy just by being remembered or seen; it does not need anything to be consumed first. A message from someone special can brighten a person's mood before they even meet.

தினைத்துணையும் ஊடாமை வேண்டும் பனைத் துணையும்
காமம் நிறைய வரின்.
Modern interpretation
When love is very strong, even a tiny quarrel feels unnecessary. Two people who deeply care for each other may choose to make peace instead of extending a minor argument.

ஊடற்கண் சென்றேன்மன் தோழி அதுமறந்து
கூடற்கண் சென்றது என் னெஞ்சு.
Modern interpretation
We may go to a meeting ready to complain, but affection can change our purpose the moment we see the beloved. Someone who rehearsed a serious complaint may forget it and reach for a hug instead.

எழுதுங்கால் கோல்காணாக் கண்ணேபோல் கொண்கன்
பழிகாணேன் கண்ட இடத்து.
Modern interpretation
When we finally meet someone we missed, their faults can disappear from our attention, just as eyes do not see the pencil applying their makeup. A partner may prepare to discuss an old hurt but forget it during the joy of reunion.

காணேன் தவறல் லவை.
